On the evening of January 25, 2026, a fatal encounter in Prairie Township, Ohio, resulted in the death of 34-year-old Lane Allen. Authorities responded to multiple reports of a shooting on Hilton Avenue at approximately 7:32 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office discovered Allen suffering from several gunshot wounds to his back. He was quickly transported to OhioHealth Doctor's Hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 8:13 p.m.
