In the early morning hours of January 24, 2026, the life of 30-year-old Quadre Jerome Whitner of Greenville, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. Whitner was discovered with a gunshot wound on Gates Street and was swiftly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries, and his death was subsequently ruled a homicide.
