A promising life was tragically cut short on the evening of March 7, 2026, when 19-year-old Janea Elizabeth Osier of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, was killed. The young woman, a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, was known by loved ones as a free spirit with a passion for traveling and riding motorcycles. She was also a devoted animal lover, especially to her dog, Nova. At the time of her death, Janea was working as a car detailer in Burlington.
