In the early hours of March 3, 2026, the life of Terry Michael Tidwell, a 42-year-old man from Louisville, Kentucky, was tragically cut short. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert around 1:20 a.m. in the Portland neighborhood, Louisville Metro Police officers discovered Tidwell outside in the 2900 block of Rowan Street, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate life-saving efforts of the officers and emergency medical services who arrived at the scene, he was pronounced dead.
