On an unseasonably warm Friday morning in San Francisco, on February 27, 2026, Cornelius Wigfall Jr. Saga, a 44-year-old man, was shot and killed. The incident occurred near the Potrero Terrace and Annex public-housing complex. Multiple bullets were fired into the back window of the white sedan where Wigfall was seated, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. A native of Potrero Hill, Wigfall was reportedly visiting family at the time of his death, as he no longer resided in San Francisco.
