In the early morning hours of Friday, March 20, 2026, a shooting inside a home in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood left one man dead and his twin brother wounded. Responding to a call around 5:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers arrived at the 700 block of Caldwell Street to find two men with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
