On the evening of March 18, 2026, tragedy struck in Jackson, Mississippi, when 18-year-old Trevarius Cooper, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred at the Rebelwood apartment complex located on Rebel Woods Drive. Responding to a call at approximately 5:15 p.m., Jackson police officers discovered Cooper outside the door of an upstairs apartment.
