On a late Saturday evening, the quiet of a Lynwood neighborhood was shattered by gunfire that ended the life of 32-year-old Salvador Ortega Sandoval. The shooting occurred around 11:20 p.m. on April 4, 2026, in the 3100 block of Lynwood Road. When deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene, they found Sandoval suffering from gunshot wounds.
Paramedics quickly transported Salvador Ortega Sandoval to a local hospital in an effort to save his life.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office later confirmed his identity and determined the cause of death to be a homicide resulting from a gunshot wound to the torso.
