On the evening of April 2, 2026, a tragic event unfolded on the southwest side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Xavier Derryl Brown-Douglas. The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the 4700 block of Leisure Manor, where police responded to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered Brown-Douglas with gunshot wounds. Despite initial reports describing his condition as "very critical," he was pronounced dead at the scene.
