In Sumter, South Carolina, on the afternoon of April 25, 2026, a dispute between acquaintances turned fatal, ending the life of 36-year-old Bryan Dargan. Deputies from the Sumter County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Collins Street around 4 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
