Floyd Washington, a 36-year-old man, was killed on the night of April 22, 2026, in northeast Houston, Texas, after what began as an ordinary moment inside an SUV turned into a sudden and deadly burst of gunfire. Houston police said officers responded around 8:45 p.m. to the 4200 block of Laura Koppe Road, near Bertwood Street and Hirsch Road, after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Washington inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
