On the evening of April 18, 2026, Derrick Hubbard, a 31-year-old man, was fatally shot in East Oakland. The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. in the 6400 block of Foothill Boulevard, where Hubbard was standing with friends. Two individuals, later identified as 19-year-old Davione Sharp and 24-year-old Isaanae Morton, approached the group.
