On the afternoon of April 15, 2026, Shemar Rayon Shackelford, a 30-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Parkland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the 3000 block of Greenwood Avenue. Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Shackelford with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
