In the early hours of Friday, April 3, 2026, the life of 35-year-old Joshua Williams, a Black male, was cut short in a fatal shooting in northwest Austin. Austin Police Department officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 10900 block of Brazoria Lane, near The Cottages at Northwoods apartment complex, at approximately 12:42 a.m. The 911 call was made by Williams' girlfriend, who reported that he had been shot.
