In the quiet community of Brighton, just outside of Bessemer, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Isiah Kaine Thurman was tragically cut short on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Responding to a report of a person down, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the 4100 block of Bethany Avenue at approximately 5:08 p.m. to a grim discovery. There, they found Thurman suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
