Philip DiMartino, aged 36, was found brutally murdered in his apartment on Hermann Street in San Francisco's Hayes Valley neighborhood on August 2, 2010. DiMartino, who worked as a senior marketing manager for the Archstone apartment company, had been stabbed 48 times, mostly in the back, with such force that some of his ribs were broken.
