On the morning of May 30, 2026, a violent encounter at the Crown Inn Motel on Bamberg Road in Orangeburg, South Carolina, claimed the life of 43-year-old Jason Johnson. Deputies from the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 10 a.m. and discovered Johnson with gunshot wounds.
