On March 31, 2016, 21-year-old Lanaris Isabell was fatally shot in east Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to a call around 11:30 p.m. on Atmore Street, where they discovered Isabell suffering from gunshot wounds.
