On the morning of July 7, 2026, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old man from Mexico, was shot and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Houston, Texas. Salgado Araujo was driving his work van with his brother and two co-workers to a construction job when the encounter with federal agents occurred.
