In the early hours of Sunday, July 5, 2026, the lively atmosphere of a large block party in Compton, California, was shattered by gunfire. Thaddeus Clark, a 38-year-old Black man from Rialto, was fatally wounded in the street, his life cut short by multiple gunshot wounds.
