In the late hours of a Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas, the life of 26-year-old Byron DaCameron Cherry was tragically cut short. On June 16, 2026, Cherry was brought to the emergency room of John Peter Smith Hospital by a private vehicle, suffering from two gunshot wounds to his upper torso. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed his identity and the cause of his death, ruling it a homicide.
