In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 9, 2026, a scene of violence erupted at the Hidden Gem restaurant in Southfield, Michigan, leaving two men dead and another wounded. Among the deceased was 24-year-old Christopher Griffith Jr. of Redford Township. The incident unfolded just after 3:30 a.m. when multiple shots were fired in the parking lot of the establishment located on West Nine Mile Road. When Southfield police officers responded to the calls, they discovered a grim scene.
