A bright Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City's Liberty Park on August 2, 2026, turned tragic for 25-year-old Marquise Kratos Resendez, who was shot and killed in a dispute that began over a dog. The young man, known affectionately as "Kratos" within his community, was a beloved figure, remembered for bringing "kindness, laughter, and friendship to the park."
