Karen Rivera, a 17-year-old female, was killed on July 26, 2026, in a double shooting outside her family's home in the 200 block of West Canino Road in north Harris County, in the Houston area. Rivera was the mother of a 2-year-old daughter and was outside the residence during what authorities described as a child-exchange confrontation involving her former boyfriend and the father of her child, Angel Javier Rodriguez.
