On a warm July night in 2026, just shy of her 40th birthday, Julia Anderson, a 39-year-old woman of Jamaican descent, finished her shift as a dedicated aide at a group home for developmentally disabled adults in the Wakefield section of the Bronx. Shortly before midnight on July 13th, as she sat in her distinctive black SUV with pink trim parked on Murdock Avenue, a gunman approached and unleashed a hail of bullets.
