Enderson Linares, a 29-year-old man, was fatally shot during the early morning hours of September 5, 2026, in Chicago's West Englewood neighborhood. At approximately 2 a.m., Linares was in the 6500 block of South Laflin Street, the same block where he reportedly lived, when two people approached him. Chicago police said gunfire followed, leaving Linares with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
