On a late summer evening in Chicago, 37-year-old Ryan Bussell's life was cut short by a single act of violence. On September 3, 2026, while standing in front of a business in the 7300 block of South Stony Island Avenue in the city's South Shore neighborhood, he was approached by a woman who would abruptly and irrevocably alter the course of the evening.
