On a summer evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 22-year-old Nyla Howell was tragically cut short. On August 30, 2026, she was fatally shot in a residence on Jardin Place. The person who called 911 to report the shooting was her 23-year-old boyfriend, Rontavious Jerome Dillard. When authorities arrived, they found Howell critically injured, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her wounds.
