In the late afternoon sun of Saturday, August 29, 2026, a sense of tranquility was shattered in a remote area of Lancaster, California. A person riding a dirt bike in the vicinity of 210th Street East and East Avenue E made a grim discovery that would set in motion a homicide investigation. Lying unresponsive on the ground was 62-year-old Ricardo Silva Paredes.
