In the pre-dawn hours of August 26, 2026, the quiet of a Seymour, Connecticut shopping plaza was shattered by the discovery of a deceased man in the parking lot. The man, identified as 33-year-old Dean Battaglino, was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services were called to the Ideal Plaza on North Street, but their efforts were in vain as Battaglino was pronounced dead at the scene.
