On October 8, 2016, Shawn Chambliss, a 43-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed in an incident that occurred in the 5700 block of Saranac Drive. Around 12:07 p.m., Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the area in response to a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, they found Chambliss suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Grant Hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at approximately 12:41 p.m.
