On January 6, 2007, Shedrick Chapman Jr., a 43-year-old resident of Cleveland, Ohio, was found dead in what remains an unsolved homicide. The incident took place near East 73rd Street and St. Clair Avenue. Cleveland Police responded to what was initially reported as a motor vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, they found Chapman's vehicle overturned. He was inside the flipped car and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel discovered that he had been shot.
