On September 4, 2008, Giovanni Lechado, aged 28, was shot while sitting in a car at the intersection of 18th and Bryant Streets in San Francisco's Mission District. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries later that morning. No arrests were made following the shooting.
