On December 10, 2016, Emmanuel Roman-Lopez, a 41-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was found shot in the early morning hours on the 100 block of West Gurney Street. Responding to a call at 6:51 a.m., Philadelphia Police Officers discovered Emmanuel suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and thigh. Despite prompt efforts by emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead just a few minutes later at 6:57 a.m. He resided in the Kensington area of Philadelphia at the time of his death.
