On a Thursday morning in Philadelphia, the 500 block of Allengrove Street became the scene of a grim discovery. On September 4, 2014, at approximately 10:02 a.m., police responded to a call and entered a residence to find two men who had been killed. One of the victims was 26-year-old Jalil Hoskin, a Black male who resided on Etting Street. He was found in the dining room, having been shot.
