Fassara Kouyate, a 37-year-old man, was working his second job at the Lehigh Car Wash, located near Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue in Philadelphia, on the afternoon of June 23, 2008, when he was tragically killed. An immigrant who had moved to the United States from Mali in 2000 to find work and join his uncle and brother, Kouyate was known by his loved ones as an easygoing man who brought laughter to those around him.
