It was shortly after midnight on July 26, 2012, when police received a call about a shooting at a residence. Inside the home, officers made a grim discovery. They found 30-year-old Robert Schmidt and his roommate, 26-year-old Anthony Conte, both of whom had been fatally shot. Schmidt was a white male.
