Maria Cortez, a 54-year-old woman from Fort Worth, Texas, tragically lost her life on April 24, 2016. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:30 a.m., when an unidentified individual in a vehicle opened fire on Cortez's house located on West Loraine Street in Fort Worth.
