In the early hours of March 1, 2014, the life of 23-year-old Dontai Rashad Carter was tragically cut short in a condominium in Denver's Montbello neighborhood. Denver police responded to a distress call at a residence on Memphis Street to find Dontai and another man, 31-year-old Richard E. Sims, both deceased from gunshot wounds to the head.
