On a spring night in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 25-year-old Ryan Colby Johnson was tragically cut short. Gunfire erupted near a nightclub in the Smithfield area on Sunday, April 23, 2023, and when the violence subsided, Johnson had sustained fatal injuries. First responders arrived at the scene on 3rd Avenue North to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
