On the evening of December 13, 2023, in Birmingham, Alabama, gunfire shattered the night in the Norwood Bottoms neighborhood, leading to a double homicide that claimed the life of 19-year-old Kayla Hall. Hall, a Black female from Hanceville, was with two other people in a white Ford Focus when they were targeted in what police believe was a deliberate attack in the 1700 block of 32nd Place North.
