In the early hours of October 28, 2023, the life of Rodger Davis, a 65-year-old male and U.S. Navy veteran, was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 1:40 a.m., Birmingham police responded to a report of a person shot in the 600 block of 13th Street Ensley. Upon their arrival, they discovered Davis unresponsive. Despite the immediate attention of Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
