In the early hours of Sunday, October 15, 2023, the life of 28-year-old Damon Thomas, a Black male from Fairfield, Alabama, was tragically cut short in a double homicide. The Birmingham Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert at approximately 2:28 a.m. in the 1800 block of Fulton Avenue Southwest.
