In the fall of 2019, the life of 18-year-old Kalab Blake Whitworth was tragically cut short. On October 27, the young man from Attalla, Alabama, found himself at a crowded house party, a gathering of over 100 people that would ultimately become the scene of his untimely death. Whitworth was an unintended victim, an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire when a dispute escalated into violence. A single, random gunshot that also wounded a Crossville woman, ended his life.
