In the fall of 2019, the life of 35-year-old Steven Edward Davis, a male inmate at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, Alabama, came to a violent and contentious end. On October 4th, an altercation within the prison walls led to Davis being airlifted to a local hospital with severe injuries. He was pronounced dead the following day.
