In the early morning hours of December 28, 2019, tragedy struck in Birmingham, Alabama, when 19-year-old Temarcus Orman McMullen, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident unfolded around 4 a.m. at 2626 Court R Ensley, where officers from the West Precinct were dispatched following reports of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered McMullen unresponsive with a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to UAB Hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
