Sixto Martinez, a 76-year-old Hispanic man from the Corner community, died on March 11, 2020, after a violent head-on crash on Bagley Road near Trammel Road in north Jefferson County. Reports said the collision happened in the morning, around 9:25 to 9:30 a.m., when the vehicle carrying Martinez was struck after an oncoming vehicle crossed the center line.
