In the late summer of 2020, the community of Sylacauga, Alabama, was unsettled by the violent death of one of its residents. On the evening of Tuesday, September 8th, police responded to a call of a man having been shot at a residence in the 1000 block of Odena Road South. Inside the home, officers discovered the body of 52-year-old Frslandez L. Cook. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
