In the late summer of 2020, the life of 35-year-old Justin Lanier Douglas was tragically cut short. On August 29, 2020, two men broke into his home at the Sun Valley Apartments in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with the intent to rob him at gunpoint. During the commission of the robbery, a struggle ensued, and Douglas was shot. He was quickly transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for medical attention but ultimately succumbed to his injuries the following day, on August 30, 2020.
