Aaron Romel Johnson was 18, a Black male from Birmingham, Alabama, and on February 6, 2020, his life ended on a street in Ensley in a burst of violence that, at first, seemed to leave more questions than answers. Police were called to the 2300 block of 27th Street Ensley, where officers found him lying unresponsive near the front steps of a home.
